Oct. 8, 1970: Born as Matthew Paige Damon in Cambridge, Massachusetts to Kent and Nancy Carlsson-Paige.

1974: His parents divorce.

1981: Meets Ben Affleck two blocks from his place and they quickly become the best of friends, watching X-Men and endless
Godzilla reruns and playing Little League baseball together.

1986: His dad offers him Red Sox tickets but he decides to stay home
and study. Sadly, he should have taken those tickets because history
was made when Roger Clemens struck out twenty batters.

1988: Attends Harvard University, majoring in English and breakdancing. During this time, he works on a screenplay that later becomes Good Will Hunting. He also auditions to be a Mouseketeer but doesn't have the ears for it.

Oct. 21, 1988: Has his feature film debut in Mystic Pizza starring Julia Roberts. His one line: "Mom, do you want my green stuff."

1991: Drops out of Harvard to become an actor.

1992: Damon and Affleck finish the screenplay for Good Will
Hunting after many beers and numerous faxes.

Sept. 18, 1992: Stars in School Ties alongside Brendon Fraser and Ben Affleck.

1995: Begins dating Minnie Driver.

1996: Plays a heroin addict in Denzel Washington's, Courage Under
Fire with Denzel Washington and Meg Ryan. He loses forty pounds for the part, eating only potatoes and boiled chicken, and almost dies in the process. Sells Good Will Hunting.

Dec. 5, 1997: Damon and Affleck star in Good Will Hunting and it gets immediate acclaim, becoming the highest
grossing film in Miramex history.

Jan. 1998: Appears on the Oprah Winfrey show and when asked
about Minnie Driver, he announces they have broken up. According to Minnie Driver, she knew nothing of this. According to Matt, they had broken up ten days before he appeared on Oprah Winfrey.

Marc. 12, 1998: Finds himself in an awkward situation when he wins the ShoWest Award for Best Male Star of Tomorrow alongside his ex-girlfriend Minnie Driver, who wins Best Female Star of Tomorrow, forcing them to stand on stage together

Mar. 23, 1998: Wins the Academy Award for Best Original
Screenplay for Good Will Hunting. Is seen with his future girlfriend Winona Ryder.

July 24, 1998: Plays Private James Ryan in Saving Private Ryan alongside Tom Hanks and Vin Diesel.

Dec. 25, 1999: Plays Tom Ripley in The Talented Mr. Ripley with Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law.

Feb. 2000: Appears on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and informs everybody he and Affleck used to have pretend business lunches in the school cafeteria.

April 25, 2000: Breaks off engagement with Winona Ryder

Mar. 2001: Begins dating Ben Affleck's personal assistant, Odessa Whitmire.

June 14, 2002: Plays Jason Bourne in The Bourne Identity.

Oct. 2003: Breaks up with Odessa Whitmire.

May 14, 2004: Matt announces he would like to star in a porn movie
titled "The Porn Identity."

July 23, 2004: Plays Jason Bourne in The Bourne Supremacy.

Dec. 16, 2004: Damon and Brad Pitt are evacuated from Claridges restaurant after a fire breaks out.

Sept. 13 2005: Officially announces he is engaged to interior designer
Luciana Barroso.
