Her name has become synonymous with trouble but there’s no denying that Lindsay Lohan has talent. If she can pull herself together and get over her addictions and legal troubles, she could have an amazing career ahead of her.

Lindsay Dee Lohan is born in New York City to Michael and Dina Lohan.

Stars in her first film, The Parent Trap, with Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson.

Stars in Freaky Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis. She performs the song “Ultimate” for the soundtrack.

She is Punk’d by Ashton Kutcher.

Stars in the Disney film, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Records four songs for the soundtrack, including “Drama Queen (That Girl).”

It reads, in part: “Since the commencement of principal photography of Georgia Rule, you have frequently failed to arrive on time to the set. Today, you did not show for work (all day). I am now told you don’t plan to work tomorrow because you are “not feeling well.” You and your representatives have told us that your various late arrivals and absences from the set have been the result of illness; today we were told it was “heat exhaustion.” We are well aware that your ongoing all night heavy partying is the real reason for your so called “exhaustion.” We refuse to accept bogus excuses for your behavior.”

She reaches a plea deal and pleads guilty to misdemeanor cocaine use and driving under the influence. She is sentenced to one day in jail, 10 days of community service, and three years’ probation.

In a statement to MTV News, she says: “It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs. Recently, I relapsed and did things for which I am ashamed. I broke the law, and today I took responsibility by pleading guilty to charges in my case. No matter what I said when I was under the influence on the day I was arrested, I am not blaming anyone else for my conduct other than myself. I thank God I did not injure others. I easily could have. I very much want to be healthy and gain control of my life and career and have asked for medical help in doing so. I am taking these steps to improve my life. Luckily, I am not alone in my daily struggle and I know that people like me have succeeded. Maybe with time it will become easier. I hope so.”

A Beverly Hills judge issues a $50,000 warrant because he believes that Lindsay has not been complying with the terms of her probation stemming form her 2007 arrest. He rescinds the warrant after Lindsay’s attorney, Shawn Holley, proves that she has been in compliance with her probation terms.
