April 12, 1956: Born as Andrés Arturo García Menéndez in Havana, Cuba to Amelie and Rene Garcia Nunez. He has a partially formed Siamese twin that appears as a tennis ball-sized growth on his shoulder. It's surgically removed. He has no memory of this event.

1961: Family emigrates to America.

1975: Meets María Victoria Lorido at Florida International University. They begin dating.

Jan. 15, 1981: Makes TV debut in the first episode of Hill Street Blues, playing Andy Arthur.

1982: Marries María Victoria Lorido.

1983: Plays Ken in Blue Skies Again.
