Born as Dana Morosini in Teaneck, New Jersey to Helen and Charles Morosini. Graduates cum laude in English Literature from Middlebury College. Meets Christopher Reeve in Williamstown where she is part of a cabaret. Four months later they move in together. Marries Christopher Reeve. Gives birth to Will Reeve. : Plays a detective in Above Suspicion with Christopher Reeve. Christopher Reeve is thrown from a horse in Culpeper, Virginia and is paralyzed. Procter & Gamble awards her with the Shining Example Award. Random House publishes her book Care Packages. Plays Wendy Schulz in four episodes of Oz. In a Caregiver.com interview she speaks about how her husband's accident has changed her life: "I don't take a romantic view of life at all anymore ... 'Happily ever after,' is like, 'Ha-Ha-Ha.' However, the other side of that is entering into a world where you see the gift behind disability. ... I think there's a lot of truth to the adage, 'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.'" Announces that she has lung cancer, though she was never a smoker. She says: "Now, more than ever, I feel Chris with me as I face this challenge ... As always, I look to him as the ultimate example of defying the odds with strength, courage, and hope in the face of life's adversities." The American Cancer Society names her "Mother of the Year." Her mother Helen dies of ovarian cancer. She sings Carole King's "Now and Forever" at Madison Square Garden for hockey great Mark Messier's retirement. She dies at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
