Sept. 10, 1968: Guy Ritchie is born. He is the stepson of baronet Sir Michael Leighton and a descendant of King Edward I.

1995: Directs The Hard Case.

1998: Directs Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels starring Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham.

2000: Directs Snatch, starring Brad Pitt, Dennis Farina, and Benicio del Toro.

May 17, 2000: Is arrested for assaulting a fan outside girlfriend Madonna's home.

Aug. 11, 2000: Gives birth to second child, Rocco John Ritchie.

2002: Directs Swept Away, starring Madonna. The film is a remake of Lina Wertmuller's beloved film, Swept Away by an Unusual Destiny in the Blue Sea of August. Ritchie's version is a flop at the box office.

Dec. 22, 2000: Marries Madonna at Skibo Castle in Scotland.

Sept. 21, 2005: Ritchie and Madonna are booed at the premiere of his new film, Revolver, because they refused to sign autographs for fans.
