Kate Beckinsale Timeline
July 26, 1973
Born as Kate Beckinsale-Loe in London, England to Judy Loe and well-known television actor Richard Beckinsale.
Her father dies of a heart attack at the age of 31. Britain is shocked by his death and for years later Kate will be known as the "tragic daughter" of Richard Beckinsale.
Attends Flexlands Private School in London, England. She enjoys taking ballet lessons.
When her mom begins dating director Roy Battersby, she finds it difficult to deal with it. When her mom moves in with Battersby she begins to rebel, hating the fact that she has to share space with Battersby's four sons.
Twice wins the British bookseller W. H. Smith Young Writers' competition. The first time is for three short stories. THe second time is for three poems. One of her works of art, "Nine Left, One Departed," is about somebody having their toe cut off.
Suffereing from anorexia, she weighs in at seventy pounds.
Pees in a director's thermos after he is cruel to her.
Graduates from the private Godolphin and Latymer School.
Attends New College, Oxford University.
