Ryan Thomas Gosling is born in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada to Donna and Thomas Gosling. Dresses in a red speedo and has a habit of flexing muscles that aren't there. He has no idea, at the time, that all the kids are laughing at him. At age 8 he comes home bloodied and in a bad mess. His mom orders him back to school to show his tormentors he is not afraid. Constantly tormented by classmates due to his small stature, his parents decide to withdraw him from elementary school and homeschool him for awhile. His mom quits work and tutors him. Auditions to be a member of The Mickey Mouse Club. For the next two years he is a member, along with Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake. Attends Lester B. Pearson High School in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Disgusted with school, he drops out, gets in his car and heads for L.A. He has no higher education yet is able to land a Canadian agent.
